The 24th edition of SSW took place on 17–18 October 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. SSW is the largest professional exhibition in the United States for pharmaceutical and health supplement ingredients, organized by Informa. Its scope covers botanical extracts, functional food ingredients, pharmaceutical raw materials, cosmetic ingredients, and dietary supplement ingredients.
The show has now run for 23 consecutive years, and the 2019 edition was larger than any previous one. It drew 15,000 exhibitors and visitors from 65 countries and regions, with more than 10,000 products on display.
A first for AccoBio in the United States
SSW 2019 was the first time Wuxi AccoBio Biotech Inc. exhibited at the show. By then the company had already exported to more than a dozen countries and regions and had established long-term partnerships with a number of well-known companies in China and overseas. The booth drew the attention of both established customers and new prospects, and gave our team the opportunity to discuss products and industry trends in depth.
The response the booth received gave us strong recognition and raised our visibility with buyers in the North American market.
Two flagship ingredients
Two products led our presentation at the show:
- Sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid)— one of our flagship fermentation ingredients, widely used in infant nutrition, dietary supplements, and cosmetics.
- Bacillus coagulans— our core probiotic strain, supplied to food and supplement manufacturers worldwide.
Both drew a strong response from visiting customers, and the feedback we received at the show was highly positive.
Looking ahead

The company specializes in the research, development, production, and sale of microbial fermentation products, and supplies high-quality raw materials and fine chemicals to the global pharmaceutical, health, animal nutrition, and cosmetics industries.
